The official Facebook page of FaculTech, a club for student entrepreneurs from the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment in Rehovot. The club was founded in November 2017 by Barak Dror and Gil Zimerman together with Professor Benny Chefetz (the incoming Dean) and Professor Masha Niv (the outgoing Dean).

Here we will announce events, lectures, workshops, conferences and fresh news from the world of Agritech and Foodtech from Israel and around the world.

The ‘Hebrew University Entrepreneurs,’ which was established in 2020, is the mother community of the Entrepreneurship Center. It was established with the goal of being a collaborative forum in which students and members of the academic and administrative staff from all the faculties at the university can come together and develop the university’s entrepreneurial culture and discourse while encouraging collaboration between the academy and industry. Business entrepreneurs? They’re here. Social entrepreneurs? They’re here as well. Environmental entrepreneurs? Of course they’re here. In short, we are celebrating the similarities and the differences between us, and looking for synergy between members of the community (the kind of synergy where one plus one is worth three).

The student community of members of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Hebrew University that was established with the goal of advancing the field of engineering at the university and connecting it to a variety of research fields. The community was established in 2021.

A student community in the area of space innovation, which focuses on following the development and launch of the Beresheet 2 satellite. The community was founded in 2021.

This community allows engineering and computer science students to bridge the gap between theory and practice. This is done through enrichment of their professional knowledge of subjects that aren’t emphasized at the university and through garnering professional experience by building projects for organizations on a pro bono basis.

The Forum for Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Hebrew University’s Faculty of Medicine in Jerusalem.

The community was founded in March 2020 (operating as part of the national organization Brainstorm IL), and deals with promoting science-based brain technology. Our vision is to create connections between students and researchers from different fields who are interested in brain science, entrepreneurship and applying technology to the field. Areas of activity: 1) Building a bridge between the academy and industry, including lectures and meetings with industry graduates, but also in the opposite direction – making useful theoretical and practical knowledge accessible for the student’s benefit after they complete their degree. 2) Connecting students from different disciplines for an inspiring dialogue, and, in particular, creating an interface between brain research and art. 3) Enrichment and familiarity with technology and encouraging entrepreneurship in the area of neurotech. The Jerusalem community partners with and is supported by the Entrepreneurship Center, the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences (ELSC), and the Department of Cognitive and Brain Sciences.

The student Consultancy Club deals with the world of strategic consultancy while partnering with the leading consultancy firms in Israel and the world. The club was established in 2020.

The Rocketry Club tries to bridge the built-in gap in academic learning and to strengthen all the qualities necessary for industry or for the academy, such as the ability of persuasion, teamwork, dealing with engineering challenges, consulting with experts and more. Our team is made up of all the disciplines and the year groups at the university. The club focuses on launches that will help with experiments, which is where the relative advantage of the Hebrew University lies. This is in contrast to similar institutions that focus on the body of the rocket or the propulsion system.
